The Creative Entrepreneurship Academy (CEA) is a training session taking place in Tallinn (Estonia). The 2017 edition will focus on the making of places by inclusive public e-services and e-products. CEA offers dialogue platform for public sector, business community (IT-businesses, start-ups etc.) and creatives, with the aim to consider the factors stimulating innovation in the e-governance. For businesses and creatives, CEA provides insight to public sectors expectations and requirements in ordering e-products or e-services. CEA offers an opportunity to develop ideas into e-products and e-services by professional coaching throughout the academy.

Innovative solutions in governance foster inclusive city planning, entrepreneurship and innovative practices that generate jobs and income, spin off new products and services, attract and retain unrelated businesses and skilled workers into city, country and region. The direct and indirect outcomes of inclusive placemaking through e-governance have the potential to radically change the future of cities, countries and regions. The CEA will highlight the good practices from the Nordic countries and Estonia and with experts focus on latest trends and developments in e-governance.

The CEA is both a theoretical and hands-on experience in e-governance. CEA is providing creative techniques for innovative practices and solutions. It includes interactive sessions and practical workshops (hackathon, teamlab and pitching sessions) and renowned coaches.

The CEA program is designed for:
  • Policy makers from national, regional and local governments – officials, civil servants, experts;
  • Businesses, IT-companies, creative entrepreneurs, designers etc.;
  • Educators and students from universities and training institutions.
As a result of the CEA the participants from public sector:
  • Understand the importance of creative component in designing the e-governance for innovation, growth and inclusive placemaking;
  • Understand the importance of collaboration between public sector and businesses to develop e-services and e-products;
  • Get inspired by e-governance solutions from Estonia and Nordic countries.
As a result of the CEA businesses:
  • Understand the needs and expectations public sector have in contracting e-product or e-service solutions offered by businesses;
  • Understand the impact the private sector have in designing e-governance;
  • Work out ideas, that could be develop into e-governance product or service;
  • Get coaching on business model and pitching throughout the programme carried out by renowned mentors;
  • Learn about and practice pitching at the international investors meeting Latitude 59;
  • Get an opportunity to be prepared to and participate at the international entrepreneurship competition Creative Business Cup eChallenge taking place in fall 2017 in Tallinn.

The CEA eGovernance Edition 2017 is organized by the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Estonia and Creativity Lab in partnership with Creative Estonia, e-Governance Academy and Government Task Force for public sector and social innovation.

Creative Entrepreneurship Academy is series of high-level international training programs launched by Creativity Lab. The CEA collaborates with Creative Business Cup global network bringing together key players from creative industries across the world.
